90th Anniversary

On our 90th Anniversary, all of us at the Syracuse Peace Council would like to personally thank you for your invaluable support! Whether you have attended our events, volunteered with us, or contributed financial support, we deeply appreciate your commitment to our mission to educate, agitate, and organize for peace and social justice.

Thanks to your support we continue to proudly embody Syracuse’s long history of spearheading social justice movements. With your help, we have protested alongside the Onondaga Nation against nuclear power plants built on their sacred lands, held protests and community events in solidarity with Gaza, sounded the urgent alarm against nuclear weapons, and called out the lie of “national security” through militarism. Your support has immeasurably helped us pursue our mission.

Our mission has never been more important. Internationally, the world’s superpowers are committing war crimes in Iran and Ukraine while fueling genocides in Gaza and Sudan. Domestically, Trump’s MAGA acolytes alongside Musk’s billionaire oligarchs are dismantling our democracy to establish their own AI-powered fascist fiefdom.

The Peace Council is standing up and fighting back by providing community action and hope during these times of overwhelming anxiety, hopelessness, and isolation.
