The ongoing horror and atrocities in Palestine and Israel constitute a crisis for humanity. We urge every US and global citizen to unify and use our collective effort to end the devastation in Gaza and the suffering of the Palestinian people. We follow our convictions that form the core statement of purpose of the Syracuse Peace Council since its beginnings in 1936 as an antiwar/social justice organization. We challenge the existing unjust power relationships among nations and people. We work to replace inequality, hierarchy, domination and powerlessness with mutual respect, personal empowerment, cooperation and a sense of community to help tear down the walls of oppression.

Not on Our Dime Relaunch!
Not On Our Dime would make it illegal for New York state-registered charities to fund violations of international law in the West Bank and Gaza.
For decades, organizations registered as charities in New York have funded violent Israeli settler groups and military units involved in war crimes against the Palestinian people. Each year, while enjoying tax breaks from New York State, these organizations transfer over $60 million to the Israeli settlement enterprise They operate with virtually no oversight and no accountability.
War crimes are not a “charitable purpose.” The Not On Our Dime! Campaign was launched to stop this flow of money, and to hold these organizations to account.
The re-introduction of this bill comes at a pivotal moment. More than two years into the U.S.-funded genocide in Gaza, the situation has only gotten worse. Israel has expanded its illegal annexation of the West Bank at an unprecedented rate. President Trump has continued to provide full backing and political cover for Israel’s genocide and openly embraced its growing land theft in the West Bank.
