Hiroshima Day Storytelling Picnic

August 9 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Sunday, August 9, 2026, 5:00-7:00 PM
Everson Museum Picnic Tables
401 Harrison St, Syracuse, NY 13202

Join us for a Hiroshima Day potluck picnic featuring transformational stories about peacemaking and hope by Jim Brule. Part of a long lineage of activists for social justice, Jim believes that true abundance arises from interconnected generosity and gratitude. During the event, we will fold origami cranes, a long-standing symbol of peace and long life. After dark, lantern floating will follow, a Japanese tradition to honor the spirits of the dead. Come for some or all of the event.
