Invest in Our Communities! No $54 Billion More for War

Fri, May 12, 2017 4:00pm
441 S. Salina St., Syracuse (outside Rep. Katko's office)

Trump is proposing a $54 billion increase (that’s $54,000,000,000) to the US’ already bloated military budget, while cutting essential programs for our communities. This is an increase of 10%, which would bring military spending to over $600,000,000,000 ($600 billion).  This military budget is more than that of the next highest eight countries combined.

Please join us on Friday, May 12 outside Rep. Katko’s Syracuse office (441 S. Salina St.) to demand money for our communities, not for war! Gather at 4pm.

Boycott HP: Technology of Israeli Apartheid

Wed, Apr 19, 2017 6:30pm - 8:30pm
University United Methodist Church 1085 E. Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13210

At a time when Congress is increasing military aid to Israel to the tune of $3.8 billion annually and the Trump administration is supporting the expansion of illegal settlements, human rights activists MUST use all the tactics at our disposal to organize and build a movement for justice.

Two decades ago, the international boycott of firms that supported the apartheid South African regime played an important role in overturning that racist regime. It's time to do it again as part of our efforts to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
