Please join us at Plowshares Craftsfair on Saturday, December 2 from 10am-5pm,and Sunday December 3 from 11am-5pm. Central New York's premier multicultural craftsfair, Plowshares celebrates a world where people enjoy their work and have control over it. With 130 area craftspeople and community groups, it is both a marketplace of  ideas and beautifully diverse, hand made items.

Press Conference:1000 Petition Signers Say "Take Trump's Finger Off the Nuclear Trigger!"

This Friday Syracuse Peace Council's Nuclear Free World Committee will deliver petitions to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, and Rep. Katko to support the Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act (HR 669). This act makes explicit that Trump cannot launch a nuclear strike absent a declaration of war from Congress.

About 1000 people have signed so far. This will be a kick-off to getting another 1000.

Khawla Hammad has been a stateless refugee in Lebanon for 69 years. At the age of sixteen, she was expelled from her village of Kabri, in Palestine. Now she is 84 years old and still a refugee in Lebanon, with no citizenship in any country at all. Israel expelled most of the population in 1948, and has prevented them from returning to their homes.
