On February 11, 2015, President Obama sent Congress a proposed joint resolution to Authorize the Use of Military Force (AUMF), which would authorize and extend military action agains ISIS for the next three years in Iraq, Syria and beyond.  The Syracuse Peace Council calls on Congress to reject this new AUMF and stop an "endless" war on the people of the Middle East.

Take to the streets on Thursday, March 19, the 12th anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq.  Beginning at 5 pm at the corner of James and Salina Streets, there will be an anti-war rally and march.  We will gather to SPEAK OUT against more war in our names.  We will call on our representatives to stand up for peace and diplomacy.  Downtown Syracuse will send a message of peace, now!
