Horror and Hope” recalls the devastation wrought by dropping atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The exhibit chronicles the ongoing movement for a world free from nuclear weapons. The selections from The A-Bomb and Humanity, include drawings, photos, and stories of the Nihon Hidankyo, Japanese survivors of the nuclear attacks, who received the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. Also included on display are photos and archival materials representing the decades-long work of CNY anti-nuclear activist organizations. There will be a short discussion led by a seasoned anti-nuclear activist and a student activist about how we can build a grassroots anti-nuclear movement.
