An Evening with Baha Hilo: Palestinian Voices of Resistance and Refusal

Baha Hilo is a Palestinian educator and activist who will be speaking on Tuesday January 14 @ 6:30 pm at ArtRage Gallery, 505 Hawley Ave., Syracuse, NY. Hilo is a leader of political tours that were featured in the award winning film Israelism. He has extensive experience in leading international tours to understand the lived experiences of Palestinians in the occupied territories. In 2013, Hilo and friends launched “To Be There,” an initiative whose mission revolves around the development and delivery of programs that educate, inform, and raise awareness about the realities of Palestinian life and the violence of occupation. The event is free, open to the public, accessible, ASL interpretation provided and refreshments will be served.
